Home & Away…

The fun isn’t limited to your local area- there are many opportunities all year round to attend annual camps both in the United Kingdom and overseas. Camps are often categorised as a blue, green or skill camp.

Blue

On a blue camp, you’ll get to try a little bit of everything of what it means to be an Air Cadet- whether this be flying, radio training, weapons handling or team building exercises; they’re a great introduction to being away with the RAFAC!

Green

Green camps are fairly more active than a Blue camp and are all about getting stuck in! Adventure training, shooting and fieldcraft just scrape the surface of what you can experience on a Green camp!

Skills

Skills camps in general tend to focus on one particular activity in the Air Training Corps- band camps, drill & ceremonial camps and residential radio courses are a few examples. They are a great way to develop your knowledge while travelling the country, or even the world!
